I COULD NOT MAKE OUT OVER THE CAR RADIO WHAT YOUR LAST NAME
WAS. I PICKED UP PART OF YOUR BROADCAST THIS MORNING WHILE I WAS IN
A FRINGE AREA OF THE MARS HILL NETWORK LISTENING AREA.
I DID HOWEVER HEAR MOST OF YOUR MESSAGE. YOU QUESTIONED THE
KNOWLEDGE THAT THE WISE MEN HAD CONCERNING THE BIRTH OF CHRIST.
MOST PEOPLE JUST ASSUME THEY HAD THE KNOWLEDGE BECAUSE THEY STUDIED
THE STARS. HOWEVER THEY KNEW JUST WHAT THAT STAR OR BRIGHT LIGHT
MEANT, THAT THEY SHOULD FOLLOW IT, AND WHAT IT WOULD LEAD THEM
TO.
THE REASON THEY KNEW IS FOUND IN THE SCRIPTURES. SCRIPTURES
THAT THEY WOULD HAVE HAD WHEN ISRAEL WAS CARRIED AWAY CAPTIVE 600
TO 700 YEARS EARILER TO BABYLON.
1st. THEY WOULD OF KNOWN OF GOD'S PROMISE TO DAVID:
2SAMUEL 7:12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep
with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall
proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
2SAMUEL 7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will
stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
2SAMUEL 7:14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he
commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with
the stripes of the children of men:
2SAMUEL 7:15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took
it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.
2SAMUEL 7:16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established
for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
2nd. BECAUSE OF VERSE 7:12, THAT HE IS TO BE A KING.
3rd. THEY NEEDED TO SEARCH OUT THE TIME THAT THIS PROMISE IS
MADE, AND TO LOOK VERY CAREFULLY AT ANY CHILD BORN UNTO
DAVID.
NOTE: GOD SWORE UNTO DAVID BY HIS OWN HOLINESS THAT HE WOULD
NEITHER LIE NOR ALTER THE WORDS THAT CAME OUT OF HIS MOUTH. SO THIS
MUST BE THE WAY GOD PREFORMED HIS PROMISE. BY USING DAVID'S SON,
NOT BY COMING DOWN HIMSELF.
PSALMS 89:34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that
is gone out of my lips.
PSALMS 89:35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie
unto David.
PSALMS 89:36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the
sun before me.
ALTHOUGH DAVID HAD SONS BEFORE THE PROMISE, GOD USED THE WORDS
"SHALL PROCEED" SO ALL OF THEM ARE ELIMINATED. THE NEXT SON AFTER
THE PROMISE IS A CHILD BORN TO BATHSHEBA, CONCEIVED WHILE SHE IS
STILL URIAH'S WIFE. THE TIME AS WE WOULD DATE IT TODAY WAS 1004 BC,
WITH JESUS' BIRTH DATED AT 4 BC. 1000 YEARS LATER.
ISAIAH 60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one
a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.
DAVID'S CHILD DIED 7 DAYS OLD:
2SAMUEL 12:15 And Nathan departed unto his house. And the Lord
struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very
sick. DAVID'S DEAD SON IS 1000 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME JESUS IS
BORN.
THE 1000 YEARS OLD IS THE END OF THE 60th CHAPTER OF ISAIAH,
THE WISE MEN NEEDED TO KNOW THIS, THEN, LINK IT UP WITH THE START
OF THE 60th CHAPTER:
ISAIAH 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of
the Lord is risen upon thee.
ISAIAH 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and
gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and
his glory shall be seen upon thee.
ISAIAH 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to
